The inventory was compiled through a review of the literature and identification of surge-type glaciers based on analysis of satellite images and multi-temporal digital elevation models (DEMs). 15. Greenland_surge_inventory_WGS84 and Greenland_surge_inventory_polys are GIS (geographical information system) files that require GIS software.
